On the 7th of June Teemu and me went to check out Katy B! Teemu was on his way to Finland, and popped by in Amsterdam and decided to join to the gig last minute. I was really looking forward to the gig, as I've really enjoyed listening to her music from Spotify.

In short - the gig was a big big big disappointment.
Katy's pants kept on falling off and she kept on picking them up, which looked stupid
She tripped on stage
Her speaks in the middle of songs were slightly...mmm, boring
She was wearing boring clothes (hardly could notice her on stage)
Her stage presence was pretty non-existant
She really could not get the crowd going so the crowd had to start trying to be 'in' themselves
But, she has a great voice. Live it works really really well, too. Amazingly nice voice.
Unfortunately for a performing artist the voice isn't enough.
Thankfully she is young and has not been spoilt with experience yet. Still a lot of hope! Maybe in a few years there's some improvement - if she is still around in the business. We'll see!

ps. know the feeling when you've been SO busy but can't really state what has made you so busy? that's what my life has been recently. or well..school, sushi, packing, and actually a few interesting things, too.
i'll see when i have the time to blog more about what's been happening recently. but this weekend is going to be nice!
+ i have a The Pretty Reckless (+surprise) to tell you about! Just a little spoiler: freaking nice.
