40km kayaking!
We went on a kayak trip to Savonlinna with my parents from Tuesday until today, Thursday.
Kayaking in the peaceful nature park environment of Kolovesi where motors are not allowed. That meant only kayaks and other muscle powered transport methods, also including a few electric motored boats.
Kolovesi is an area of ringed seals but unfortunately all we saw were various kinds of birds and fish and a swimming snake.
Funny, when going into the nature in the middle of nowhere you bump into more Londoners than Finnish people. How come all those foreigners found their way out there? Nice!
All the sun, water, kayaking, camping, sleeping in a hammock, picking berries and other nature life was fun for a while but I'm glad to be back in town.
Why was I so excited to come back? Find out tomorrow, unless Facebook already revealed you my newest wooden love. ;-)
