Bolga

Bolga: An island with a rocking rock

One of our weekend's activities up North of Norway.

A 45min ferry ride in sunshine and out on the beautiful waters of the North.
What a landscape!
Perfect weather to visit Bolga, a populated island outside of Ørnes.
A little over 100 people live on this island. They even have their own little school.

We walked through the diverse nature of the island to a famous rocking rock and gave it a push.
Yes, we got the rock to rock! Rocking rock rocked. Too much rock?

The cutest thing I saw, aside of some cute ginger haired kids, was a mid-aged lady coming to pick up the mail from the ferry with a tractor. The whole environment was very Little House On The Prairie -like, even though it can't be seen from the pictures I took. Idyllic.

As we were done with eating our pølsegrateng, it started to rain. Luckily the ferry came soon enough to take us back to the mainland where the rain had already turned into sunshine again. :-)
