Tenth Day pt.2 - The Cuba Diary

Day Ten: The rest of it

Continuation to this, the day trip to Western Cuba.

Once we arrived back to Havana, we headed off to the Coppelia ice-cream park which we heard had the beeest ice-cream everrr.
A guard came to us at the park and guided us to a kiosk in an other direction than we were going to. He informed us that there were separate kiosks for tourists and locals. Interesting.
We had two options to choose from: caramel and vanilla.
I wasn't interested in either, and veeery upset as my expectation of tens of yummy creamy delights was...well, not fulfilled. Sanni tried out the caramel one which she described as 'expensive and tastes of nothing special'. So that was that.

From Coppelia we negotiated a good price to the center of Havana on our favorite vehicle, the coco-taxi! Those rides were full of excitement and so much fun. Especially when we had half of our luggage with us the time we were traveling to the bus station haha!

We spent our evening walking around the streets of the old town, eating tasty churros for just a CUC, escaping the welcoming arms of young Cubano men, talking to a funny rastafari drummer who invited us to party with him the week after (unfortunately we couldn't make it as we were in Finland already then) and buying spirulina tablets for just 6CUC a package.
An evening walk by the Malecon, back to our hotel and a late dinner at an Italian restaurant next door.

After a long day, we were knackered.
