Volleyball tournament

Us exchange students attended the InHolland Haarlem Volleyball tournament with 2 teams.

Guess who won the whole tournéee including beating the teachers and sports students?

An other prize was BEER. In Finland that would never be allowed. Beer, alcohol, at a school event? Whaaaat? Nnoooo... But yes, even the teacher team stayed for an after-match drink!

Saturday 2.10.

Sunday, oh Sunday the 3rd of October. What a lovely weather you provided us.

It was beach time.

The beach was crowded, the weather was around +22, schoolwork was forgotten about and ah-what-a-day. Let the pictures say the rest.

In the evening we celebrated Johannes' 2nd or was it 8th or 28th Birthday which was a lot of fun!

On Monday I went to Amsterdam with Koen and Tim to "FM: First Mondays: The Music Industry Social". Our aim was to network with local music makers but it was kinda of a flop. Felt like there were more people who I already knew than didn't know! Meaning...full of students and hardly any others. It was nice, though. Live music from a Norwegian artist as well as some other band.

Our gorgeous Yana was also there with her lovely friend Robyn!

Money come, money go - now I'm off to get my car fixed. Blah!

Over 20kilometers

Amsterdam was crazy tonight. We went there by bikes with Esther and Kristina. Took us 2hours, OOPS. Next time we'll actually know the way and it'll take half the time, I'm sure. ;-) Anyhow, there were much more police than usually! We thought we had gone on some baaadbaaad street since the police were there with dogs, armored cars, oxygenmasks and stuff. CRAZY and SCARY.

Today I also saw the Red Light District for the first time during night time. I keep on saying it - but I really somehow like that area. It's weird.

As we were too lazy to take pictures, this is all I have from our A'dam trip today. Nothing too exciting.

We went to a pub that Esther had been to before 'cos she knew the guy working there. Our visit turned out to be interesting when a group of Welsh guys came in and found us "Swedish" girls interesting.
Men blowing candles so that the wax goes all over the place (eyes, clothes, table, drink, list goes on) is really attractive. Also trying to rub the wax out of ones eyes with beer is really charming, too.

No, we did not come back by bike. Just because it started to rain, you know. That's the only reason. Right? Right. ;-)
